SVP International is growing and founds a section in Costa Rica

Today, the SVP International, the expatriate section of the Swiss People's Party SVP, met at the Congress of the Swiss Abroad in Lugano for its annual general meeting. Apart from the ongoing campaign, in which the section is represented in eight cantons, the expansion of the party and the foundation of a section in Costa Rica were discussed.

Like every year, the SVP International is present with a popular booth at the 2011 Congress of the Swiss Abroad, which is held from August 26-28 in Lugano. The participants, who come to the congress from all over the world, are especially interested in the lists of the Swiss abroad for the National Council elections of October 23, 2011.

Today, the SVP International held its general meeting. The members were delighted to learn about the continuous expansion of the section abroad. This positive development was emphasized by the foundation of a new section in Costa Rica by entrepreneur Johann Dähler (well-known throughout Switzerland as "Pineapple Dähler") as well as the increasing number of members.

The AGM of the SVP International now hopes to motivate the Swiss abroad for the elections with active campaigns in the cantons of Zurich, Geneva, Basel-Stadt, Aargau, Grisons, Solothurn, Schaffhausen, and Schwyz and to enable the representation of the Fifth Switzerland in the National Council within the existing election structures. The positive media presence of the lists allowed us to reach our first goal: to integrate the interests of the Swiss abroad in the campaign and its coverage. For this purpose, we also presented the SVP International Election Manifesto in mid-July 2011.

SVP International in Einsiedeln

The SVP International could attract a lot of attention with her booth at the delegates assembly in Einsiedeln (SZ) on mai 28th 2011. This was also a good occasion to present our different candidates for the National Council.
